The designation means that a sparkling wine must not have more than 3g\/L residual sugar and, above all, that no sugar may be added to the \"dosage\" after bottle fermentation. This Dosaggio Zero made from 70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir is even shown to have a residual sugar of less than 0.5g\/L.
